ATL workshop

🎉 What an incredible workshop we had at Rudjer Boskovic School! 🎉 We
delved into the exciting world of Approaches to Teaching and Learning
Skills in the IB, comparing them to the skills we encounter in our
everyday lives, both personally and professionally.

Parents participated in solving puzzles and discussing effective and
ineffective approaches to communicating with young minds. 🔍 We explored
the power of specific vocabulary in nurturing an inquiry mind in our
children. 🌱 We investigated how critical thinking skills blossom through
inquiry vocabulary, and how communication, social, and self-management
skills flourish with the right approach and language.

💡Parents have analyzed and compared hypothetical scenarios through the
lenses of how children feel and what they learn in different situations,
depending on the feedback they get from the adults. We’ve touched upon
the notion of visible thinking as a main scaffolding technique in
learning and development.

Parents have also contemplated on the opportunities to support
creativity in their children, and they have shared amazing and useful
practices.💪 We’ve remembered to appreciate mistakes as great
opportunities for developing skills, in particular, creative thinking,
problem solving and sense of personal responsibility in kids.

🚀 We can’t wait to continue this journey with you all! 🚀 Join us next
time in strengthening our bond as a community of engaged parents and
teachers, as we explore even more ways to support and inspire our young
