Who We Are

Grade 4 students, within the transdisciplinary theme Who We Are, are inquiring into how our choices affect our health and personal well-being. We invited the mother of one of our students, Milica Stevanović to join us as a guest. Our guest spoke with the students about emotions and the importance of positive thinking. She encouraged them to reflect on themselves and others through engaging stories and examples. They wrote motivational messages, which they will draw daily as their ‘motto of the day,’ as well as messages to help cheer up a sad or angry classmate.

They also started a 30-day plant project. One plant will be exposed only to kind words and messages, while the other will be subjected to yelling and negative remarks. They will observe how the plants progress and the outcome may even surprise them.
