Sports Day at Ada – A Great Start to the New School Year!

As is tradition, on Wednesday, 9 September, students in the upper primary grades started the new school year in the best possible way – with a Sports Day at Ada Ciganlija!

Surrounded by nature, sunshine, and positive energy, our MYP students enjoyed a variety of sports activities, spent time together, competed, challenged themselves, and, above all, stayed active and engaged with others.

Sports Day was about much more than games and physical activity. Through shared challenges and team activities, students developed important ATL skills, including communication, collaboration, organisation and social skills. At the same time, they demonstrated the attributes of the IB Learner Profile – they were communicators as they encouraged one another, open-minded as they embraced different ways of playing and working together, caring as they supported their teammates, and courageous as they were willing to try something new.

It was particularly wonderful to see students of different ages spending time together, helping one another and building a sense of belonging to the school community. Team spirit, friendship and a positive attitude marked this sunny September day.

With smiles, plenty of movement and lots of positive energy, our students once again demonstrated that we learn and grow best when we learn together, push our boundaries and support others

Sports Day at Ada was thus a wonderful way to begin the new school year – a year of new challenges, new experiences and new opportunities to grow as inquirers and communicators, principled learners who develop a balanced approach to life and learning.
