School trip to Niš

Grade 8 students went on a field trip to Nis. In addition to sports activities on the riverfront, the students went sightseeing in Niš (fortress, art colony, amphitheater, Jazz museum and monuments). On Monday we headed to Devil's Town – a natural monument. This natural monument is made up of
two rare natural phenomena in the world: earth figures as specific forms of terrain and two springs of highly acidic water. Up to the top we practiced persistence and condition, and at the top we admired the beauty and the uniqueness of the whole area. We visited Niska Banja, Cele tower and
cultural monument on Cegar hill, erected at the site where the battle of the First Serbian Uprising took place, in memory of the killed soldiers and commander Stevan Sindjelic. We have learned a lesson from our past from Uncle Selet, who treats our eight graders with great pleasure every year. We also had the opportunity to watch two films and one theater play made by students. On our way
back, we visited the Ravanica Monastery, built in 14th century where the relics of Prince Lazar are preserved, and a special place belongs to the Church of the Assumption known for its fresco painting of the Middle Ages – the Moravian school. We all had a great time, had fun and learned many new and useful lessons.
