On 20th April, we had the pleasure of welcoming Stefan Kondić, a graduate of Princeton University with a Master’s degree in international relations. We were treated to an exceptionally inspiring lecture on the history and work of the United Nations, as well as the many challenges the organisation has faced both in the past and today.
Kondić brought to life the inner workings of this global organisation in an engaging and accessible way, whilst also highlighting its pivotal role in contemporary political developments around the world. His stories and examples encouraged us to think critically about current international relations and the challenges facing the world today.
The lecture carried particular significance, as it also served as preparation for our upcoming visit to the United Nations headquarters in New York, where we will have the opportunity to see the organisation in action first-hand.
This encounter left a lasting impression on all of us and inspired us to take a greater interest in global affairs and our own place in an ever-changing world.
