Their adventure began with a visit to Lepenski Vir, one of Europe’s most important prehistoric archaeological sites. During their stay, students also enjoyed a scenic boat cruise along the Danube, taking in the spectacular landscapes of the Đerdap Gorge and seeing remarkable landmarks such as Trajan’s Plaque and the impressive rocky formations of the Iron Gates.
The programme continued with a visit to the Đerdap I Hydroelectric Power Plant, Fetislam Fortress, the Zaječar City Museum, and Felix Romuliana, where students discovered more about the region’s history and cultural heritage. Students also visited the town of Negotin, exploring its town centre and learning more about the area’s cultural heritage.
Beyond sightseeing, the trip offered plenty of opportunities for sports, swimming, and outdoor activities. The evenings were filled with music, dancing, laughter, and socialising, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere throughout the stay.
The trip was a wonderful combination of learning, adventure, and friendship. Students returned to Belgrade with new knowledge, shared memories, and experiences that made their time together truly special.
