Flavours of France
Ruđer Bošković High School students who are learning French took part in an outing titled Flavours of France. The outing aimed to give students the opportunity to explore French culture and gastronomy through food and socialising. The first stop was Kalenić Market, where students visited a French cheese shop called Kod Francuza (At the Frenchman’s). There, they were introduced to a variety of cheeses, their methods of production, and their significance in French cuisine and culture. Students discovered a great deal about French culinary traditions, cheese in particular, and had the chance to see and taste an array of varieties up close. The visit was a refreshing change from the usual school activities. Afterwards, students visited the well-known patisserie La Boulangerie, where they had the chance to treat themselves to some classic French pastries and desserts. The outing proved to be a wonderful blend of learning and fun, sending students home with new knowledge about French cuisine and culture, and plenty of happy memories.
