Cognitia Libera

On Saturday, 9th May, our school hosted the 17th Cognitia Libera, our traditional philosophy competition featuring student essays. This year, the finalists were selected from over 80 submitted essays, sent in by secondary school students from across the country. The topics spanned both timeless and thoroughly contemporary philosophical questions and problems, from digital identity and artificial intelligence to the theory of knowledge and the role of politics in everyday life, from Socrates to the present day. The finalists presented their essays brilliantly, sharing their ideas and arguments with everyone in attendance. Following the deliberation of a three-member expert jury, the first prize for the best essay and defence went to Una Đurović, a student from the Sixth Belgrade High School.
