Belgrade Philharmonic

On Thursday, 17 November, our students had the pleasure of attending a Symphonic Orchestra rehearsal at the Belgrade Philharmonic. One of the most popular concerts of the Belgrade Philharmonic this season is dedicated to Hollywood film music. Our students had the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful music from films and TV series, from Hitchcock’s Psycho, through Star Trek, E.T., Batman, Lord of the Rings, to the global phenomenon, The Game of Thrones. Listening to these extraordinary pieces in such a wonderful atmosphere made them seem almost unreal. Our High School and Primary School students found it enjoyable to hear these famous melodies performed in such a different way. This was an unforgettable learning experience as well because our younger students had the opportunity to find out about various musical instruments and hear them in a live performance.  The orchestra will be performing the whole concert, together with Aleksandar Sedlar as the conductor, on Friday, 18 November at Kolarac. The same programme will be adapted for teenage audience and performed on 23 and 24 November at the Philharmonic concert hall.
