Educational system
Rudjer Boskovic School is a unique educational system that is comprised of Primary School and Secondary School. Both schools are authorised by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development (authorisation numbers 022-05-41/2005-03 from April 20th, 2005, 610-00-0134/2007-07 from March 26th, 2007 and 022-05-065/2003-03 from March 12th, 2003).
Primary School
Primary School follows the National Curriculum that is legislated by The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and it also offers the international programme for primary and lower secondary students accredited by Cambridge International Examinations: Cambridge Primary Programme & Secondary One Programme. Starting from Academic Year 2015-2016 the school introduced IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for 5-11-year-olds and from Academic Year 2018-2019 our school is accredited IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) School, the programme intended for upper primary school students.
High school
The secondary school follows the National Curriculum that is legislated by The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia as well as international educational progammes: Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and IB Diploma Programme. From Academic Year 2018-2019 our school is accredited IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) School, the programme intended for the first and second grade Secondary School students.
School Mission is to inspire learners to become honourable, principled, knowledgeable and caring individuals, capable and willing to make considerable contributions to their local and worldwide communities.
Rudjer Boskovic School offers the use of modern teaching methods, analysis of all the teaching methodologies and approaches, variety of extracurricular activities and optimal class sizes (from 10 to 20 students). These aspects of our school give students the opportunity to obtain a quality education and to develop specific skills and traits that are essential for them to live and learn in 21st.
The school day lasts for the whole day.
In addition to regular academic activities, the school offers a range of extracurricular activities: rich sports offerings, dance classes, art (design, choir, film, drama classes), foreign languages, linguistics, journalism classes, supplementary mathematics, physics, chemistry, history and ecology classes, chess.
The learning also moves beyond the classroom by giving the students the opportunities to travel – go on various field trips and excursions, students exchange programmes, and language and sports camps.
Throughout the school year, our students visit significant culture and science institutions and numerous distinguished artists, authors, sportsmen, and scientists visit the school.
