Child Safety on the Internet Workshops

During this week, the school’s PYP psychologist held workshops in Grade 4 and Grade 5 on the topic of Child Safety on the Internet. After the survey on the student use of the Internet students exchanged information, shared their experience. They  learned about different ways to protect themselves on the Internet, about computer protection as well as protection through knowledge. The Power Point presentation, which is also available to students through the See Saw platform, contains useful information and links to sites where students can further learn about increasing security on the Internet. They also received 10 rules for safe clicking, which can be found in their classrooms.

During the workshops, students made posters, drew their avatar and were reminded of all 4 safety points. Students were informed about the free contact phone of the National Contact Center for Child Safety on the Internet 19833.

A brochure Internet Safety was prepared for parents, published by the school and prepared by the school’s PYP psychologist Danijela Andrejić Mićović. The brochure contains useful information on this topic and links to additional sources of information on this topic on the Internet.
