GOLD FOR SERBIA: PETAR TOLIMIR WINS GOLD MEDAL AT THE INTERNATIONAL GEOGRAPHY OLYMPIAD

Belgrade, August 2026 – Petar Tolimir, a student at Ruđer Bošković High School in Belgrade and a member of the Serbian national team, has won a gold medal at the 22nd International Geography Olympiad (iGeo 2026), held in Istanbul.

This year’s Olympiad brought together 184 of the world’s top young geographers from 50 countries, who competed in geographical knowledge, geographic data analysis, and fieldwork.

By winning the gold medal, Petar achieved an outstanding international success and once again demonstrated that young people from Serbia, through their knowledge and dedication, can rank among the very best in the world.

“We are extremely proud of Petar. This is, above all, a tremendous personal achievement, but also a result that brings pride to our school and to Serbia. We wholeheartedly congratulate Petar on the knowledge, hard work, and dedication that led him to world gold,” said representatives of Ruđer Bošković High School.
