Workshops on Learning in G3
Students in G3 are facing numeric grading for the first time this school year. Besides what they accomplish in school, it is important how they organize themselves when it comes to reviewing, consolidating, and how they adapt according to the dominant learning style they possess. How do they know when they have learned something well, regardless of whether they are taking a test, responding orally, or receiving a certain grade? How can they cope with obligations and grades?
It was important for students to realize that there are many different ways to learn, that everyone can find their most effective learning method, and to clarify who is responsible for what during the learning and assessment process (what depends on the teacher and parents, and what depends on the student themselves).
Students also had the opportunity to plan their work week independently and include all the activities they engage in after school and on weekends, in order to better develop their organizational skills and plan their own learning. In this way, we foster responsibility and independence in the learning process, which are essential prerequisites for achieving good results and forming lasting and applicable knowledge.
