The Spanish Christmas Lottery

The Spanish Christmas Lottery was organized in our school for all students who learn Spanish. The prizes were sweets.

The students learned about this traditional lottery by watching a short video.

This lottery dates back to 1812 and is considered one of the oldest running lotteries. It is also one of the biggest lotteries in the world and what makes it special is that the children deliver the drawn numbers and the corresponding prizes in song. The whole event is broadcast by most of the national TV stations.
