The Palace of Science

On 29th January 2025, the 6th-grade students visited the Palace of Science. The Palace of Science is the first centre for research and the promotion of science in Serbia and the largest in the region. From 1924 to 1946, the building served as the headquarters of the Adriatic-Danubian Bank, the largest bank in the territory of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. After the Adriatic-Danubian Bank ceased operations, the space was occupied by other banking institutions. Starting in 2024, one hundred years after its construction, the building became the legacy of businessman Miodrag Kostić and opened its doors as the Palace of Science, where knowledge and curiosity take centre stage. The students enjoyed the fascinating exhibits the museum offers. From a globe and an astronaut suit to seeing what the surface of Mars looks like, they also took photos with 3D models of dinosaurs. Additionally, they saw what sharks looked like and learned how a touchscreen works. This was a unique experience for the students.
