The Creative Voice of Youth – Mia Predrevac at the World Expo in Japan

Mia Predrevac, a student from class 6A, achieved remarkable success this spring by participating in an art workshop organized by the Children’s Cultural Center Belgrade and Gallery 12. Alongside other young artists and under the mentorship of professional local artists, Mia helped paint mascot figures that now represent Serbia at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

Her artwork was selected as one of eight chosen to showcase our country at this prestigious international event. The mascots were already displayed this spring in front of the Serbia Pavilion at Expo Osaka, and Mia had the incredible opportunity to visit Japan during her summer break and attend the exhibition in person — a truly unforgettable experience that celebrates art, culture, and global collaboration.

In Japanese culture, mascots hold a special place as symbols of joy, identity, and community. Through her creative work, Mia contributed to sharing these values while promoting Serbia on the global stage.

We are extremely proud of Mia, her imagination, dedication, and artistic expression. Her participation in this inspiring project reminds us how important it is to support and nurture young people’s creativity — their voices can cross borders and connect the world.
