Sport and orienteering
During the introductory Sport and Orienteering class, the PYP students learned what orienteering is, what equipment you need for it and what the rules of this sport are.
Orienteering is a sport in which competitors use a map and a compass to race on foot over a course marked by control points. The winner is the competitor with the lowest elapsed time. The students reached a conclusion through a conversation in class: in order to finish the course successfully, the competitor needs to be able to read the map, know the basiscs of orienteering and to be fit enough to move quickly across the terrain.
