Spanish Meter Film Festival

On 11 September, our high school students attended the screening of the film Even in the Best Families as part of the 17^th edition of the Spanish Meter Film Festival. This comedy is set in Chile during the return to democracy after General Pinochet’s dictatorship. It tells a story of lies, confusion, and deceit among wealthy families in Santiago. When it was first released in 1990, the film was censored by the Chilean authorities, but in 2023 it was restored with all the original scenes that had previously been cut. The festival provides a chance to enjoy Spanish-language films that are otherwise unavailable in our country’s cinemas.
