Primary School Students Visit Madlena Art Palace
On Tuesday, 13 May, upper primary students had the privilege of visiting Madlena Art Palace under expert guidance. During the visit, they explored the antique museum, which features examples of period furniture and decorative items dating from the reigns of Louis XIV, XV, XVI, and XVII, through Napoleon I and II, the Georgian-Victorian era, all the way to modern times.
They particularly enjoyed the current exhibition of paintings and sculptures by contemporary artists, as well as the magnificent garden, which houses sculptures by renowned local and international artists. Madlena Art Palace proudly displays an exceptionally rich collection of Oriental art, with its oldest artefact dating back to 1300 BCE, alongside carefully curated pieces collected from around the world.
The museum’s collection includes works by major figures of Serbian modern painting, such as Lubarda, Čelebonović, Josić, Pomorišac, Olja Ivanjicki, and many others, providing students and teachers with a truly unique and memorable experience.
This visit has opened the door to further collaboration between our school and Madlena Art Palace, and we hope our students will have many more opportunities to enjoy its extraordinary beauty and works of art.
We extend our sincere thanks to Madlena Art Palace for their warm welcome and hospitality, and we look forward to future joint projects.
