Nothing New on the School Journalism Horizon

Although we are journalists, we run the risk of making you think we are sharing old news rather than announcing something new. Rest assured, you have not been misled. The news is absolutely current, even if we proudly share it every January for the twelfth year in a row: once again, we have been named the best primary school magazine!

The Society for the Serbian Language and Literature has decided that in 2025, our magazine Đački kutak (Students’ Corner) deserved first prize in the competition for the best primary school magazine. Five years ago, a special jubilee award was introduced for the most awarded school magazines, and we were among its first recipients. This year, however, we are celebrating two awards once again—one for 2025 and the jubilee award.

A group of students from the journalism club, together with their mentor, Ms Vesna, who runs the club, will receive the awards at the Faculty of Philology on 31 January 2026. Until then, we are riding high on the wings of success, and we will share more news from the award ceremony with you after the event.
