NEW MEDALS FROM A BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP!

The Junior Cup – Vršac 2023, organized by the Badminton Association of Serbia was held on Sunday, 12^th March, at the Millenium Sports Center in Vršac. A large number of medals ended up in our class 9B.

Our students Đorđe Omrčen and Marko Petković competed in all three age categories U15 (competitors aged up to 15) and all climbed onto the winner’s podium! In the mixed doubles, they won second place and a silver medal. Marko, partnered with Đina Čelar, won a gold medal in the mixed doubles competition, while Đorđe, in the same category, teamed up with Milica Tomić, won a bronze medal. At the end of a challenging sports day, Đorđe finished third in the individual competition with another bronze medal.

The demanding nature of the competition is evidenced by the fact that Đorđe spent exactly 6 hours on the court playing all matches, while Marko spent almost 5 hours!
