Mother Language Day
Like every year, we celebrated Mother Language Day. The students recalled the events in Bangladesh in 1952 and spoke about the importance of the mother tongue. Knowing that one language disappears every year is something that worries you, especially when you are a speaker of a small language. The richness and beauty of the Serbian language was confirmed in the works of the 9B students and their determination of what is valuable in the mother tongue. In just one hour, a lot of originality, creativity and love was born – for a language that has only us to nurture, improve and love it. Maybe encourage others to spontaneously say the word they like in the Serbian language and explain why it is so. How about the words – hope, reconsider, summer, grace, loyalty, pig, imagination, happiness, shack, abacus shake? It was the choice of the 9B students.
