Let’s go to the mountains!

On the fourth day of the project “Athens-Belgrade, History and Architecture”, we once again headed upwards with a visit to Mount Taygetus in the Peloponnese! With enthusiastic cries of “This is Sparta”, we toured Leonidas’s monument in Sparta, then explored the impressive remains of the Byzantine city of Mystras. To replenish our energy, we refreshed ourselves at a traditional Greek tavern in the village of Gythio on the Aegean Sea coast.
