Kraljevo
Recently, our students had the opportunity to visit several significant cultural and historical sites in Serbia during a school trip to Kraljevo and its surroundings. The first stop was Žiča Monastery, where students learned about the rich history of this sacred site, once a centre of Serbian spirituality and the coronation site of medieval rulers.
Next, they visited Studenica Monastery, one of the most significant Serbian monasteries, renowned for its architecture and frescoes, celebrated masterpieces of medieval art. The visit to this monastery left a strong impression on everyone, providing students with a chance to learn about the importance of this cultural treasure.
The journey continued with a visit to Ljubostinja Monastery, founded by Princess Milica. Here, the students discovered more about her life and her role in preserving Serbian culture and spirituality during the challenging times of the Ottoman rule.
In Vrnjačka Banja, students enjoyed a relaxing time strolling through the spa park and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of this popular tourist spot. We concluded the excursion in Kragujevac, where we visited Šumarice Memorial Park.
This school trip offered the students a hands-on experience to deepen their understanding of Serbian history and cultural heritage, while also providing fun and strengthening friendships.
