Gender equality

This month, several classes of Serbian language and literature were devoted to an issue that is always hotly debated. On 10th February, Andrej Kubiček, our sociology teacher, was a guest lecturer in the first year students’ class. The students researched daily newsapers ad analysed the extent to which men and women were present in the news, what their jobs are, what they look like, etc. The conclusion is that our students are quite mature and have a high awareness of the importance of this issue. Their impression is that gender equality is not truly established.
