European Day of Languages
26 September is celebrated all over Europe as the European Day of Languages. This year marks its 20th anniversary. Ruđer Bošković students and teachers will mark this day, as every year, with a series of activities in all languages learned in our school: English, Spanish, French, German and Russian.
Throughout the week, songs in foreign languages will be played during the breaks and the students will choose the songs and the bands they like most. The teachers will prepare quizzes and riddles for their classes and give the students an opportunity to express their creativity in foreign languages.
The final activity will be recording the students’ statements about the importance and the benefits of learning foreign languages. All the statements will be compiled in a video which will be posted on the school’s website and social media accounts. In this way, we believe that we will raise awareness about the importance of learning foreign languages.
