Ethnographic Museum

As part of the inquiry unit Where Are We in Space and Time – The Past, Grade 4 students visited the Ethnographic Museum on Tuesday, 17 March. This educational visit allowed students to explore the lives and customs of people in the past in an engaging and interactive way. During the visit, the students took part in a workshop designed as a treasure hunt for various exhibits. Through this inquiry-based activity, they developed their observation, reasoning, and teamwork skills. They were particularly interested in learning about traditional objects and the way people lived in earlier times. The activity sparked their curiosity and encouraged them to ask further questions about the past. Students approached the tasks with great enthusiasm and successfully identified the required exhibits. The museum visit contributed to a deeper understanding of the central idea that learning about the past helps us better understand the present. This experience will remain a valuable and inspiring example of learning beyond the classroom.
