Discovering the French Heritage in Belgrade, part II
On Tuesday, 3rd March, students studying French at Ruđer Bošković High School set out on a walk following the traces of France in Belgrade. This outing was an opportunity to explore French culture and history outside the classroom.
The first stop was the Monument of Gratitude to France. There, students heard the story of the long-standing friendship between Serbia and France and learned about the support France provided to Serbia during the World War I.
The walk then continued past the Embassy of France in Belgrade, where students learned more about the building’s architectural features and discussed its role, as well as the relations between the two countries.
After this educational walk, we refreshed ourselves in the pleasant atmosphere of the café Kod Francuza, where, during a short break, students shared their impressions and had the opportunity to try some French delicacies.
This walk was an unforgettable experience for all of us. By visiting places that reflect the friendship between Serbia and France, students were able to experience the spirit of the French language, history, and culture in our city in a special way.
