Celtic village
Our Grade 4 and 5 students visited a reconstruction of a Celtic settlement in Inđija. They learned how the Celts hunted, how they lived, what they wore, how they worshipped and how they paid for the goods.
There are several types of Celtic houses in this open air museum. These houses, made of wood and mud with a roof made of reed, represent authentic Celtic households and craftsmen’s workshops.
One of the houses contains a mini museum with interesting exhibits, based on material remains of the Celtic tribe Scordisci who lived in the area of present-day Srem.
After visiting the village, the students took part in creative workshops in which they learned how to create jewellery, tie knots and weave. The visit was quite informative and fun.
