A visit to the Museum of African Art

Our Grade 2 students visited the Museum of African Art on Wednesday, 15 November, where they heard about and discussed the folk creativity of the African continent.

Particularly interesting was the mask-making workshop, through which the students became acquainted with some of the most beautiful masks and sculptures of Africa. Through stories and conversations, using colorful paper, cardboard, and paint, they created their own masks.

They also had the opportunity to visit the first tactile exhibition at the Museum of African Art – See, Touch, Feel.
