Grade 9 Students Explore the History and Beauty of Niš
From 28 September to 1 October, our Grade 9 students enjoyed a memorable school excursion to Niš and its surrounding areas, combining history, culture, sightseeing and plenty of opportunities to spend time together outside the classroom.
During their stay, students visited some of the region’s most significant historical and cultural landmarks, including Niš Fortress, Ćele Kula (Skull Tower) and Čegar, where they gained valuable insights into Serbia’s rich history and the events that shaped the country’s past.
One of the highlights of the excursion was a visit to Đavolja Varoš (Devil’s Town), a remarkable natural landmark famous for its unusual rock formations and breathtaking scenery.
In addition to the educational activities, students had the opportunity to explore the streets of Niš, discover the city’s atmosphere and enjoy some well-deserved leisure time. A trip to the cinema and a group dinner at a local pizza restaurant added to the fun and provided opportunities for students to relax, socialise and create lasting memories.
Beyond the historical and cultural experiences, the excursion was a wonderful opportunity for students to strengthen friendships, develop independence and enjoy being together as a class.
The trip was a memorable experience, filled with learning, laughter and shared moments that our Grade 9 students will undoubtedly remember for years to come.
