Petar won a gold medal at the 22nd International Geography Olympiad – iGeo 2026, held in Istanbul. This year’s Olympiad brought together 184 of the world’s top young geographers from 50 countries, who competed in geographical knowledge, data analysis and fieldwork.

The International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT) was held in Zurich, Switzerland, from 5 to 12 July 2026. The Serbian national team, whose members included Petar Tolimir, a third-year student at our high school, achieved a historic success by winning a silver medal in competition with teams from 40 countries.

Mara Stanišić, a third-year student at our high school, won second place at the International Mathematics, Science & Engineering Fair (IMSEF), held in Izmir, Türkiye, from 1 to 6 June 2026, with her research project on the potential use of Tenebrio molitor larvae in the biodegradation of Styrofoam.

By winning medals at international competitions, Petar and Mara achieved outstanding success on the world stage, once again demonstrating that young people from Serbia can reach the very top through knowledge and dedication.
