Outstanding Scientific Competition Achievements

On Saturday, 18 April 2026, Grade 7 student Leona Begović achieved a remarkable result, claiming 1st place at the Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection Olympiad in the grades 7-9 category.

The competition involved producing a scientific paper and completing a multimedia test. Leona’s paper was titled Nature vs. Plastic. Her excellent results in both areas earned her a place at the world level of the competition, to be held in September in Bali, Indonesia. Also competing at the same event was Aurora Krčevinac, who received a Special Award for her scientific paper Saving Bees: Small Helpers for the Planet – a well-deserved recognition of the quality of her work and dedication.

The run of successes continued just one week later. At the regional biology competition held on 25 April 2026 in Vinča, Leona claimed 2nd place in the Grade 7 category, once again demonstrating her exceptional knowledge of and commitment to the natural sciences.

We are proud of our students, who have represented the school in the finest possible way through their knowledge, hard work, and dedication.

Congratulations to Leona and Aurora. We wish them every success in their future work and competitions.
