Grade 4 Visits the PTT Museum

As part of their research into the unit of inquiry on Human-made Systems – How We Organise Ourselves, Grade 4 students visited the Postal-telegraphic-telephonic Museum. During the visit, they listened to an engaging talk by the museum’s curator on the historical development of postal services, the telegraph, and the telephone, as well as the various ways in which people once exchanged messages over long distances. Students discovered how communication systems have changed and evolved over time — from letters and telegrams through to modern telephone networks.

The visit was both educational and enriching, helping students gain a deeper understanding of how society organises itself through different systems of communication.
