On Saturday, 7^th February, our school had the honour of hosting the municipal mathematics competition for primary school students in Čukarica. This event was more than a test of knowledge – it was a true reflection of the values we nurture within our IB community: collaboration, responsibility, unity, and community service.

Our student volunteers – both Primary and High School students – demonstrated outstanding qualities of the IB Learner Profile. They were principled, caring, communicators, and open-minded, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all participants. Through the development of ATL skills such as organization, collaboration, and social and communication skills, they showed that learning extends beyond the classroom and becomes an authentic experience of contributing to the community. Their enthusiasm, responsibility, and teamwork were essential to the successful organization of the event and the warm welcome felt by all our guests.

In the competition itself, our students once again proved that they are true inquirers, thinkers, and risk-takers, achieving remarkable results:

We are especially proud of the balance between academic excellence and active community engagement, as we believe that such experiences shape responsible, self-aware, and empathetic young individuals.

We congratulate all our students on their hard work, achievements, and willingness to embrace challenges, as well as their teachers, who continually inspire them to be curious, reflective, and committed to lifelong growth.
