Personal Project exhibition
On Thursday, 27th November, the seventh Personal Project Exhibition was held. After months of developing their ideas, planning, and preparing presentations, the students’ products were ready to be showcased. Our course candidates left a wonderful impression, having invested genuine effort in presenting their work—every single member of the cohort without exception. In conversation with them, it was clear that they had full command of their ideas, their development, and their goals, both in terms of learning and in terms of the final product. They also demonstrated strong awareness of the ATL skills involved, explaining their application to visitors through concrete examples.
This year, the exhibition was moved to the first semester and scheduled before students complete their reflection in the Report. I am grateful to the older students who previously completed the Personal Project for proposing this idea. I met with them, and they presented excellent arguments for making this change. I gladly accepted their suggestion. The younger students initially had some reservations, but they ultimately understood the purpose. After the exhibition and their interaction with the audience, many aspects of this long process became clearer to them, and they are now more prepared to finalize their reports.
The products reflect the students’ personal interests, hobbies, areas they wished to explore, or topics they were eager to develop, while the written report carries a different, academic purpose. Their ability to present their process will determine their achievement levels. I hope they will be equally successful in their reports as they were in presenting their products.
