International Philosophy Competition

Aleksandar Vasilić (DP2) won the gold medal at the BSPEE International Philosophy Competition, taking first place among 313 participants from 20 countries. Our student Petar Tolimir also received an honourable mention.

BSPEE is an annual philosophy essay competition held on UNESCO’s World Philosophy Day (20th November). Students are given philosophical quotations and must write an essay in English within a two-hour supervised session, using no aids other than a dictionary. The essays are evaluated by an international jury based on philosophical understanding, originality, argumentation, and coherence, while the final decisions on medals are made by a committee from the University of Helsinki and the Philosophical Society of Finland.
