On Wednesday, we attended a performance of Kir Janja (The Miser) at the Akademija 28 theatre together with our homeroom teacher. The play tells the story of a man who was extremely stingy and greedy. He had a wife, Juca, and a daughter, Katica. He had once been wealthy, but over time, he became poor because he was completely obsessed with money. Although he constantly tried to get rich, in the end, he lost everything that truly mattered to him – his wife and his daughter. He even wanted to marry his daughter off to an older man purely for financial gain.

I really enjoyed the play because it shows, in an engaging way, how greed can destroy a person and everything they love.
