The European Day of Languages

Students of German language in the primary school marked the European Day of Languages in a creative and educational way, highlighting the richness of languages and cultures that make our continent so diverse.

The program included various activities through which students of all ages had the opportunity to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and teamwork.

Grade 3 students created flags of the countries where German is spoken – Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as other European countries – demonstrating their dedication to learning about the world around them.

This task allowed the students to become familiar with the different cultures and symbols of those countries.

Grade 4 students had the task of creating bilingual posters about themselves, combining German, Serbian, and English. This activity helped students practice their language skills while also getting to know their classmates better.

Grade 5 students explored holidays and traditions in German-speaking countries. Through the creation of posters, they presented well-known holidays such as Christmas, Easter, St. Martin’s Day, and Karneval, gaining a deeper understanding of the traditions and customs of these countries.

Grade 7 students participated in a Kahoot quiz that included questions about different languages around the world. Through this game, students tested their knowledge of languages and their global presence, which was a great way to learn more about the linguistic diversity of our global society.
