Rethink your drink
As part of the transdisciplinary unit “Who We Are,” Grade 4 students participated in an engaging inquiry project called “Rethink Your Drink.” The activity began with a survey in which students shared their favourite beverages and guessed how much sugar they contained. They then carefully examined the nutrition labels on the packaging and compared their expectations with the actual data. To make the results more visible, they created posters showing the real amount of sugar in each drink.
The project sparked lively classroom discussions and encouraged students to reflect on how their everyday choices affect their health.
