Grade 6 Outing to Baranda

On Tuesday, 20 May, Grade 6 students enjoyed an unforgettable outing to Baranda. Their destination was the Baranda NESTvarno estate, a charming property nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the village of Baranda.

The estate features a traditional Vojvodina-style house, three cosy cabins, and two wigwams, along with a basketball court and a football pitch.

A thoughtfully organised program offered a mix of educational, artistic, and sports activities. From a presentation on traditional crafts to painting fridge magnets and visiting a small farm, students had the chance to learn while having fun. One of the highlights of the day was an exciting ride in a horse-drawn carriage, which brought a dash of old-world charm to the experience. The students got a real taste of rural life, gained insight into the Baranda region, enjoyed outdoor games, sampled Banat delicacies, and even met the local storks — beloved residents of this almost dreamlike place.
