World Book Day

On World Book Day, 23^rd April 2025, students from class 6B presented their favourite literary characters to one another — speaking from the first-person perspective. There were portrayals of Little Prince, Tsar Dušan, Lassie from Lassie Come-Home, fairy tale heroes battling dragons, epic heroes (as folk epics had recently been studied in class), as well as modern literary characters. The audience actively participated, successfully guessing the characters from the stories. Their teacher also joined in, presenting her favourite heroine, Antigone, which led to an introduction to the myth of Oedipus and the idea of Antigone as the first rebellious woman, since rebellion means refusing to accept the world as it is.
