A Visit to the Café Zvuci Srca

As part of their CAS activities, our students visited the café Zvuci Srca (“Sounds of the Heart”) on 10th April. The charity organisation Dečje srce (“Children’s Heart”) was founded in 2001 with the aim of providing support to people with developmental disabilities and their families. In Serbia, there are around 730,000 people with disabilities. Statistics show that only 13% of them are employed, and many live in poverty. Among the most vulnerable are people with developmental disabilities.

The café Zvuci Srca offers employment opportunities to people with disabilities and developmental challenges — they work as baristas, waiters, shop assistants, and in various workshops.

You can support their work by visiting the café and shop — your contribution directly helps provide employment for young people with developmental disabilities.
