Oliver Twist
On World Book Day, Grade 7 students not only dressed up as their literary heroes but also eagerly dived into a literary appreciation of a character created by the famous English writer Charles Dickens. Since the publication of the novel, Oliver Twist has been a work that captivated the audience with its exciting plot and strong empathy that bound them to the main character. The theatrical performance highlighted the drama, twists, and vivid scenes in an extraordinary way. Our students were immersed in the theatrical reality for an hour and a half, anxiously awaiting the main character’s fate and genuinely celebrating the turning point and happy outcome.
Not to boast, but some actors felt compelled to greet the students from Ruđer Bošković School who watched the play from the front row. We adhered to theatre rules and refrained from taking pictures of the stage and actors, so you’ll have to take our word for those handshakes at the end of the performance.
