Hispanic Studies Day
PYP students studying Spanish had a masquerade ball for Hispanic Studies Day. On that occasion, they disguised themselves as prominent figures and symbols of Spanish culture such as Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso, a matador, a bull, a flamenco dancers, Rafael Nadal, Zorro, the King of Spain, a mariachi player, a Mexican, Rosalia, Shakira, etc. They paraded in the courtyard with suitable Latin music, while their friends from the audience supported them with applause. Everyone introduced themselves in Spanish and presented their mask, and some also had mini-performances.
The best masks were chosen by the jury.
The first three prizes were won by flamenco dancers, a matador, Picasso and a mariachi player. Prizes were Spanish sweets and a picture book in Spanish for first place.
