Students of Grades 3, 4 and 5 were on a trip to Viminacium. Viminacium is an archaeological site near Stari Kostolac, 12 km from Požarevac. The Roman military camp was created in the 1st century and lasted until the beginning of the 7th century. It was one of the most important legion camps on the Danube, and for some time it was also the capital of the Roman province of Upper Moesia, which included most of Serbia, northern Macedonia and part of northwestern Bulgaria.

During this visit, our students visited the North Main Gate of the legion camp (Porta praetoria), the Roman Baths, the Roman Amphitheater, the Mausoleum where the Roman Emperor Hostilian is most likely buried, the Mammoth Park, the Domvs Scientiarvm Viminacium / Scientific Research and Tourist Center, the Crafts Center with furnaces for production of ceramics and bricks.
