From Yugoslavia to Rome
The second day of the second phase of the project Athens-Belgrade, History and Architecture wasn’t spent, as you might have thought, in a journey through the former Yugoslav countries to Italy, but rather as a journey through the rich history of our capital city. At the Museum of Yugoslavia, we learned a lot about Josip Broz and the national history of the 20th century. By walking through the city center and Kalemegdan, we delved into the Ottoman rule and the liberation of Serbia. Also visiting the Nebojša Tower reminded us of how much the Greek and Serbian people share in common, which is something we aim to contribute to with our project.
