In Novi Sad

We spent the third day of the second phase of the project Athens-Belgrade, History and Architecture in Novi Sad but, unfortunately, we didn’t stay until dawn, as the lyrics of a popular song say. However, the one-day trip was enough for us to enjoy the beauties of the Serbian Athens, starting from the National Theatre, Orthodox and Catholic churches, to Petrovaradin Fortress. An essential part of exploring this part of Serbia was also the visit to Sremski Karlovci, where we saw the baroque architecture of the oldest Serbian secondary school, Karlovci Gymnasium, the Patriarchal Palace, the Theological School, and the Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas.
