Museum of Chocolate Belgrade

Grade 3 students visited the Museum of Chocolate Belgrade. Upon entering the Museum, using their sense of smell, the children began to get acquainted with chocolate, one of their favorite treats.

Walking through the exhibition and listening to the story of the curator, they learned about the complete history of this magical treat, its beginnings in human use, its beginning of use on European soil and in our country, the way it is made, the way it is consumed, its healing properties, etc.

In the first room of the Museum of Chocolate, which is arranged like a rainforest, the students saw what the fruit of cocoa looks like. They learned that people use cocoa beans to make chocolate.

The students really enjoyed this visit. All their senses were awakened. It was not just the smell, but they also had the opportunity to taste chocolate pralines, hot chocolate and Ruby chocolate made of pink cocoa.

A journey through the history of chocolate will be an inspiration to Grade 3 students to further explore the current unit, How We Express Ourselves and to write stories. Maybe about chocolate.
